Held under the theme “DEEP DIVE INTO OCEAN-TECH,” OT-CON 2024 became the starting point of Be-CON and laid the foundation for its direction and identity today.
OT-CON 2024 was launched in September 2024 in Busan, an Asia–Pacific ocean hub city, as a global conference for maritime industry professionals. It aimed to serve as a platform for maritime technology development and new market creation.
The maritime technology industry offers great opportunities, but also faces challenges such as technological uncertainty, high costs, regulatory constraints, and shortages of specialized talent. OT-CON brought together leaders of tradition and innovation to create a space for discussion on more efficient paths for industry development.
The conference featured Gabler, Germany’s leading submarine technology group with over 60 years of expertise, together with 12 Gabler partner companies leading innovation across the maritime sector. Through this gathering, OT-CON enabled meaningful exchanges between Eastern and Western maritime technologies, sharing new solutions and strategic visions.
Under the theme “DEEP DIVE INTO OCEAN-TECH,” OT-CON highlighted the hidden value of ocean technologies beneath the surface and envisioned growth into Asia’s representative ocean-tech platform, where discussion, collaboration, and execution are organically connected.

OT-CON 2024: The Foundation of Be-CON
The OT-CON 2024 was an international conference for maritime industry professionals, launched in September 2024 in Busan, an Asia–Pacific ocean hub city. The event aimed to serve as a platform that captures the potential of maritime technology development and new market creation.
